FEH was motivated even more for higher education after the terrible earthquake of 2010 where so many children and young people died in their search for better education in the big city.
After the earthquake, vision for a technical school with a standard of excellency outside of Port Au Prince was looking more and more realistic. After years of prayer and planning, land was donated in the small village of Musotte, 3 hours away from the city. Through work of faith, the first phase of the technical school, the CHRISTIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNICAL TRAINING (CITT) is due to open in the fall of 2016.
Starting with a curriculum of all necessary subject classes to bring all students to desired standards, the successive years will offer to all qualified students the following training:
Dormitories and a cafeteria are being built to accommodate out of town students.
Further plans include: A Chapel, a workshop, additional classroom buildings. A specialized hospitality building. Teachers residences.
